The foundation Angels for Children, founded by Ingrid Engel in 2003, has had Laotian staff members for many years who manage the foundation in Laos and implement and supervise the projects. The staff members are part of the social environment around the schools and work closely with local authorities.
Bouangeun “Linda” Hanthavong

Mrs. Bouangeun “Linda” Hanthavong was Gerlinde’s assistant for more than ten years and has already taken on a variety of management tasks in this role. She studied primary education at the Luang Prabang Teacher Training College from 1992-1995 and worked as a teacher in her home village near Luang Prabang from 1995-1999. In 1999 she met Gerlinde Engel and started to work for her, first in her household until 2001 and then as a warehouse manager at the textile company Lao garment Co. Ltd. from 2001-2005. In September 2005 she started to work for the foundation Angels for Children as secretary, accountant, project manager, Gerlinde’s right hand and much more. Together with Johannes Zeck, she is the Managing Director of the Foundation and responsible, among other things, for the management of the primary school in Ban Sikeud, the primary school Ban Phang Heng with Khamsing Nanthavongdouangsy and for the central administration of the local finances.

Mr. Khamsing Nanthavongdouangsy arbeitet seit 2007 für die Stiftung und war bereits vorher als Simultanübersetzer für Gerlinde Engel tätig. Im Lauf der Zeit übernahm er vielfältige Leitungssaufgaben insbesondere in der Mittelschule Ban Phang Heng. Er ist als General Manager verantwortlich für das Mangement der Grundschule in Ban Phang Heng mit Bouangeun Hanthavong und für die Mittelschule in Ban Phang Heng mit Bernhard Fürst.Mr. Khamsing Nanthavongdouangsy has been working for the foundation Angels for Children since 2007 and was already working as a simultaneous translator for Gerlinde Engel. In the course of time, he has taken on a variety of management tasks, especially at the lower secondary school Ban Phang Heng. As General Manager, he is responsible for the management of the primary school in Ban Phang Heng with Bouangeun Hanthavong and for the lower secondary school in Ban Phang Heng with Bernhard Fürst.
Johannes Zeck
Director & Chairman of the Foundation Angels for Children
Johannes Zeck has been working for the foundation since 2014. Together with Bernhard Fürst, he has built up the vocational education project with the Lao-German Technical College since 2015 and managed the training project “Teaching English in Laos” with the Karlsruhe University of Education. Together with Bouangeun Hanthavong, he is the Managing Director of the Foundation and is responsible for the central administration of local finances and the training
project, among other things.
Bernhard Fürst

Bernhard
Fürst has been working for the foundation since 2015. Together with Johannes
Zeck, he has built up the vocational education project with the Lao-German
Technical College since 2015 and has taken on a variety of management tasks,
especially at the lower secondary school Ban Phang Heng. As General Manager, he
is responsible together with Khamsing Nanthavongdouangsy for the middle school
in Ban Phang Heng and the training project with the Lao-German Technical
College.
