In cooperation with the teachers of the schools, the University of Education Karlsruhe and the Lao publishing house Pum Anh<\/a>, several story workshops took place at the primary school in Ban Phang Heng in 2018<\/a>. Under the didactic guidance of Pum Anh, more than 30 pupils between the ages of eight and twelve worked out their own stories from their everyday lives, their experiences, their families and also the Laotian world of fairy tales and legends. The stories were subsequently edited and seven of them were selected for publication as a book in small series.<\/p>

Afterwards, the students from the art club of the Ban Phang Heng secondary school drew pictures to accompany the experiences in the stories. The Lao stories were translated into English and seven unique books were designed, printed and distributed to the students and school libraries in small batches with Pum Anh. These seven unique stories from the students of our schools can be viewed online here.<\/p>
