Ban Sikeud primary school

In 2003, the foundation Angels for Children Foundation took over the sponsorship of the Ban Sikeud primary school in the province Vientiane Capital. In addition to renovating the existing buildings, new ones were also built, thus increasing the capacity of the school. The buildings were then equipped with new and functional furniture, sanitary facilities, and materials. A library and a multi-purpose room for sports and events, a staff room and a kitchen were built, as well as a sports field. To ensure that the school can be reached even during the rainy season, roads and parts of the school were paved. Meanwhile, about 550 children attend the school, which consists of 12 classes in grades 1-5 as well as a pre-school class.

The inauguration of the renovated primary school on 7 October 2005 by the then German Ambassador to Laos, Hans Günther Löffler, underlined the importance of the Foundation’s work.
